E-learning is the delivery of education (all activities relevant to instructing, teaching, and learning) through various.electronic media (Koobaag and Hannas, 2005). E-learning in schools is a knowledge-based learning which Integrates the use of digitiil technology in setting up learning environments (Baislé, 2007). The teaming environments provided by e-learning are mostly related to an independence process of learning. Students can arrange by themselves whether they will continue with new materials to study or to repeat the materials that they have not understood. This study aims to reveal the independence of learning tbrougb the concept of self-regulated learning described by Zimmerman (1989) and how this independency in learning related to students’ learning motivation. ln this research, we used the tutorial model of e-learning. The tutorial model, introduced student with new learning materials that have not been studied and also accompanied by B process of questions and answers. This type of e-learning is the most resembled to a traditional classroom environment in Indonesia. The study was a quantitative research with eighty nine students aged 15 to 17 years (42 female) from several Higb Schools in Jakarta and Depok participated in this study. Two types questionnaire were applied in this research to reveal the self regulated learning and motivation in learning. The results showed a significant correlation between self-regulated learning and learning motivation (p <0.05), which means that students who have regulation in 1earning are more motivated to learn through e- learning, especially in with the tutorial model that is more resembled to traditional learning.
