| Abstract: | Biometric technology is the basis of an identification system to control individuals in the under
surveillance group. Biometric system provides automatic identification based on patterns or unique
characteristics of each individual.In the iris-based biometric system, the common steps taken are
image acquisition, image segmentation, image extraction and image recognition. Hough method is
used in the segmentation step and the Mahalanobis distance method used in image recognition step.
Implementation of this system using OpenCV library and as research object used Casia iris image
database version 1.0 in BMP format with a size of 320 x 280 pixels. |
