|Abstract: ||Augmented reality is a combination of virtual objects with real objects in the real world in real
time. Virtual object can be added with 3D object, audio, and so forth.. Augmented reality is applied in many
things, one of them is advertisement. Examples of advertising media used is a brochure. Submission of
information through leaflets are usually in the form of text and 2D images.
This study discusses the implementation of augmented reality in favor of interactive advertising using
Google SketchUp and ARMedia. The method used was marker based tracking. Marker is a black and white
illustrations with thick black frames and white background with a pattern in the middle. Marker printed on a sheet
of paper and used as a marker of 3D virtual objects appear when the marker is directed to the webcam. Maker is
used to be printed on one page brochure.
By adding a 3D virtual objects onto the brochure, the user can see the 3D shape of objects contained in
the brochure. The addition of this virtual object as well as the completeness of the information for the user to
better know the real shape of the object is located|
