Abstract: Poem is one of literary works. It always uses a different language from daily langages. The writer is interested to analyze it especially in imagery of season in poems. The aims of this research are to find out how the imagery of seasons in English old poems and to find out the figurative languages are used to convey the seasons in English old poems. The aims of this research are to describe the imagery of seasons and figurative languages in English old poems. The sources of the data of this research are several old poems that are related to the season. The number of poems chosen is twelve. To support the data, books and internet articles are taken to define the meaning of related terms in this research. The method used is qualitative method. The result of the analysis shows that the poems describe four seasons. There are spring, summer, autumn and winter. They are conveyed with different description because every poet has used different imagination. They used the beautiful languages to convey them. They also have different diction in poems. Nevertheless, their imaginations have same meaning and purpose. They imagined them by using the characteristics of every season such as animal, flower, climate, sun, activity and environment that are around the poets. In addition, the figurative languages that are used to convey the seasons are metaphor, personification, simile, imagery, symbol, hyperbole and alliteration. The effectiveness of figurative languages is to give description of season more beautiful and make the readers become interesting in analyzing the true meaning
