| Abstract: | This thesis entitled, The Translation of English Noun Suffixes Into Indonesian was conducted to answer the question how English Noun Suffixes were translated into Indonesian appropriately. There were many kinds of noun Suffixes; but the writer only took five noun suffixes which were commonly used, -ance/ence, -er/or, - al, -ment, and -sion. In this thesis the writer took the data from the novel “Going Home” by Danielle Steel and its translation “Tambatan Hati” by Gita K. And the aim of this thesis was to describe the translation of English noun Suffixes into Indonesian and classifying them into Indonesian affixes. In order to analyze the translation of English noun Suffixes into Indonesian which were found in both of the novel. The writer used the descriptive or qualitative method and quantitative method to make range between those suffixes. The sources of data were novel “Going Home” by Danielle Steel and its translation “Tambatan Hati” by Gita K. Finally, the result showed of analysis those English noun Suffixes can be translated into Indonesian affixes which are prefix, circumfix, suffix, and phrase or even naturalization and transference with showed by tables. |
