Abstract: The problems of this research are the similarities and differences of the relationship between setting and plot, the similarities and differences of the relationship between setting and characters, and setting itself in the novel entitled Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix This study aims to describe and analyze the similarities and differences setting to plot, character and how far is the setting in the novels entitled Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The writer got data by reading both of the novels and made quotations from the novels which related to answer the problem of the research. The result of the analysis shows that there are some similarities and differences between two novels in the relationship of setting to plot, character and evaluations of setting applied in both of novels are indicated well. In addition, this research can contribute to the enrichment of the students’ literature in studying the novel, especially the relationship of setting to plot, character and evaluation the setting.
