Comparation of Model Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use Technology (UTAUT) And Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) for Internet Adoption of Credit Union Staff

Abstract

Different levels of ICT adoption can be assessed using several behavioral theories include the use of technology UTAUT and TAM. This research aimed to compare the two theories are in prediction the behavior and intensity of Internet usage among employees of BKCU Kalimantan, including identifying the most dominant perceptions that influence decisions to adopt or not adopt the internet. This research involved 122 respondents of BKCU Kalimantan employees that were choosen by judment sampling. The data collection method is survey with research design is cross-sectional study that examined the type of ICT are the mobile phones, Personal Computers and the Internet. The level of ICT adoption is measured by categorical variables, namely the Internet adopters and Internet non-adopters. The research instrument consists of four parts: (1) individual profiles of the respondents, (2) profile of information and communication technology use in schools and by the respondents is concerned, (3) profile of ICT utilization. The main research model will be analyzed by using analysis diskriminant that provides statistical procedure to identify the contribution of each independent variable on a linear function that shows the difference between the two groups, adopters and non adopters. Test models using Chi-segnifikasi square and Wilks Lambda. The result is discriminant analysis of UTAUT is more higher than TAM. That is 81.5 percent compared to 71.0 percent.
