| Abstract: | This study aims to analyze the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL),
and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) to profitability on banking companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange
period 2005-2009. Data obtained from the Financial Statements issued by the Indonesia Stock Exchange
2005-2009. The population of this study is 30 companies and total sample of 24 firms by passing phase purposive
sample. The analysis technique is multiple linear regression. The results showed that the variables
tested, only CAR gives a significant effect to profitability while NPL and LDR give no effect to profitability
in commercial banks. |
