| Abstract: | Procrastination is predicted as one of some behaviors decreasing employee\'s productivity. As one of the most common behavior in employee\'s performance, it is important to understand employee\'s procrastination. The aim of this research is to measure the correlation and contribution of self-efficacy as an internal variable to procrastination, and also considering another variables such as sex, educational background, and employee\'s work period. The participants of this research are 62 employees consist of 32 male employees and 30 female employees. The result shows that self-efficacy has negative correlation to procrastination, especially avoidant procrastination. Beside that, the contribution of self- efficacy to procrastination is around 18.4%. Work period has positive correlation to both procrastination, arousal and avoidant, and negative correlation to self-efficacy. There are also procrastination difference based on sex whereas male employees have higher procrastination score that female employees. Employees with bachelor degree also have higher procrastination score than employess with senior high school educational background. Even though there is no significant differences, it is obvious to see that female employees and employees with senior high school educational background have higher self- efficacy score that male employees and employess with bachelor degree. |
