Regional Economics Development And Web Based Public Information Services in Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to identify the relationship between the parameters of the provincial government website evaluation with regional economic indicators. The subject of his research is the province of 30 provinces in Indonesia. The parameters consist of the website features website, financial information index and rank web. Web Rank is one measure of popularity is based on the number of web pages and Traffic Analysis. Regional economic indicators including Human Development index, GDP per capita, and literacy rate. The results showed that no significant relationship between the parameters of the website with regional economic indicators. It shows that penetration of the website by the provincial government in Indonesia has yet to promote regional economic development or vice versa.
