Lembaga Keuangan Mikro: Model Organisasi dan Pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi

Abstract

Micro enterprise is more significant in amount than small, medium, large enterprise (SME) in Indonesia. Data from Ministry of Cooperative and SME (2004) indicated that there were 41.8 million micro enterprises, 0.588 million small enterprises and 0.062 million medium enterprises. On the other hand, information technology is the one of solution alternative in SME in Indonesia, including microfinance. This related to the increasing of information access and mastering of information technology towards small and micro finance. in addition, the implementation of information technology is one of the partnership models involving university as an agent of change in information technology adoption and acquisition. The paper present a lesson learned of the microfinance management from some developed countries that relatively success in microfinance empowerment. The explanation will focus to the organization model of microfinance include benefit of the information technology. In the end of paper will focus to the prototype model of the intemet in microfinance management in Indonesia.
