| Abstract: | This study aims to analyze the relationship between the implementation of Good
Corporate Governance of the company's financial performance.
Corporate governance as measured by the CGPI (Corporate Governance
Perception Index) based on the appraisal has been prepared by IICG (Indonesian
Institute of Corporate Governance) and the company's financial performance is
measured by using the EVA (Economic Value Added / EVA). The statistical method
used is the Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis. Eight samples of non-financial companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange and has participated in a survey
conducted in 2008 IICG
Based on the results of hypothesis testing can be concluded that there was no
significant relationship between the implementation of Good Corporate Governance
with the company's financial performance. This is apparently due to low awareness of
companies to implement Good Corporate Governance. Management company has not
seen any direct financial impact, if viewed from this period are more long-term GCG so
success can not be measured if only rely on only one accounting period, while
calculations of financial performance by using the EVA approach is more short-term,
where the results achieved from this period is the result of the added value that can be
stand-alone company |
