| Abstract: | Faculty of Computer Systems & Software Engineering in Universiti Malaysia Pahang has used Software Development Life
Cycle-SDLC in teaching and learning among undergraduate students enrolled in bachelor of software engineering. The approach
is been used to expose student with the real working environment in software engineering. They were introduced all the phases in
SDLC which planning and analyzing phases are taught in Software Management & Requirement Workshop, design phase in
another course named Software Design Workshop and implementation and testing phases are taught in a course titled Software
Quality Assurance. The planning, analysis and design phases were taught to the student during third and fourth semester of study
while the rest are been taught at fifth semester. There are 45 graduates who are the first graduates of FSKKP that been taught
through this approach. The approach seems so effective in helping the graduates getting the right job based on the rate of
graduate’s employability. Some of them are working at multinational companies (23%), local established IT companies (64%)
and furthering study at local and overseas university (11%). |
