| Abstract: | The fabrication and reliability tests of single mode fused fiber couplers will be explained. The basic process basically consists of twisting and fusing two adjacent fiber optics by heating and pulling them using Hydrogen torch until appropriate power transfer is achieved. Coupler characteristic and its performance reliability measurements were performed using dry run test methods. Consistence coupling ratio characteristics were achieved with acceptable loss quality. |
